Why Japanese:

Homecoming

Like many who grew up in poor families in the rural mid-west, I joined the military to get out of that environment. The military allowed me to see the world by visiting many countries. Japan was the only country that I stepped foot onto and it instantly felt like I was home.

Overcoming The Struggle

For years I struggled to learn the Japanese language to no avail. No matter how much work or effort I put into learning the material, I failed each time. I could not remember what I was being taught, could not apply what I was being taught, and I gave up on several occasions. After the last round of giving up, I decided to begin learning the language at my pace and in my own way.

Worksheets

I created the Japanese Hiragana & Katakana Practice Worksheets to help me learn how to read and write the first two alphabets of the Japanese language. These worksheets are downloadable for free in PDF format here.
